Oooh, how she loves treating him like the big baby he is. Infant flu medicine, “special” green (colored) tea, and of course, his rattle and his blankie. Rubbing him with “Vics” (sic) and putting him down for a nap with a sheet for when he spits up. It all cuts a little too close to something you might find in some very unusual magazines kept behind the counter.

Ooooh, verrry kinky, indeed! Now that Dr. Jack is gone, she’ll have to deal with the local vet about putting Burl down for “the big sleep.” BTW, Ma will gladly help with that project.

Good thing Ma isn’t watching Arsenic, she might get some ideas. But then, probably she already has! Baby Burl, very unattractive!

I think I spend waaaay too much time thinking about this strip. But I have noticed several times that the picture taken long ago of B and J as newlyweds shows Joy as much larger. Could this have been a shotgun marriage???
