    (1) God forbid that Burl/Joy not have enough for leftovers! The horror! (2) Altho I remember Julia Child’s classic TV episode when she dropped the chicken. (3) Happy Birthday to us/US!

Oh oh….she’s washing the kitchen after the party. Could be a lot worse than halitosis trailing this event.

you wait for an hour in line on a navy ship, and then drop the steak on the deck…pick it up and eat it anyway. or go hungry.

DF — Yes — I’m sure, but you don’t wait till the guy next to you isn’t looking and switch yours for his! Or make your guests eat the dropped food so you can save yourselves some untouched leftovers. THAT’s what makes the Pennys ….. well…. the Pennys.

I agree, Susan! I might eat something that fell myself (or not care about preparation methods as much for myself) but cooking for guests or a pot luck, I’m much more careful. If it is cookies, I would sample the imperfect ones and save the others.
