LMAO, this one is great! Jer’s toupe glue had an epic fail, and Burl, guess it was pretty scarey, huh?

Found it. BTW, Aug 6, 1945 was the day that Paul Tibbets, flying the B-29 named “Enola Gay,” dropped the first-ever atom bomb on Hiroshima.

Mornin’ all. That Jer, wotta guy. Chivalry and cool good looks, all rolled up into….. um… somebody else, I guess.

And now we know — it’s a toupé for sure. No big surprise there’s no hair on his head. His follicles are too busy working overtime populating his back, his arms, and his big hairy a__…….ewww I can’t even think about it. And Verla, loyal to the end, takes a drenching to save the honor of her man. Then he probably says “Hey doll, why don’t you go fix yourself up before we go to dinner.”D’you think she’s ever seen his bald head? PT 911 — don’t call us, though, if the boat capsizes.Boats all have my initials, you know. Coincidence? I don’t think so.

From yesterday - @Marg - I think to my mother, whose own mother escaped a rough life in Europe, a garden somehow represented poverty. She had no desire to dig in the dirt when she could afford vegetables grown and made ready by someone else. In a can. When I started cooking at about age 19, I discovered a world of fresh food I’d never tasted.I remember calling Mom to ask how to cook broccoli. She said, without a touch of sarcasm, “But…… (pause) why would you want to cook broccoli?”

    Easily found it today.

There’s nothing wrong with being bald, Jer.

And I forgot: August 6, 1945 was yesterday, sixty-six years ago.

I never believed Jer had a toupe………….. because his mom has appeared……….. having exactly the same hair (all over as well)……… So I am shocked today……. When mom apears….. she is Jer with a blouse……… Insteaed of a shirt………

Gymshoe – I thought the same. But maybe he had hair just like hers but lost it (he’s 50-something) — or maybe they BOTH wear wigs now.

Maybe Jerry & his mother suffer from hypertrichosis.

The rain hats remind me of my Mom, who loved the log flume ride at the amusement park, but not the wet hair. She always put on her rain bonnet on that ride.

Susan Sunshine I can see why your Mom wanted to remove herself from gardens. Did she ever discover the joys of fresh vegetables? Aren’t you glad that you starting cooking for yourself? :-)

I remember those rain ‘babushkas’. Women used to wear them like scarves to keep their hair from blowing in the wind.
