    Morning!

If that candy bar were on a shelf inside Crust Foods, or if the kid had made his pitch about chocolate, not charity, Burl might part with the dollar.Tell them they’re doing good works, and they immediately suspect they’re being burned.Oh, Leaky, Leaky — we still love you even if we know everything. You couldn’t help it. You were young.I do not seean Enot me.That reminds me — @BlueWaves from yesterday…. a little harsh, yeah, but I do understand. On Comics.com we’d kinda agreed not to tell, so when I got here, I was annoyed that people spilled the beans first thing. But then I discovered that the strip had been on GoComics first, and it was already the custom amongst the nice people here to help each other find it.Now I just think of it as blending in with the native culture…. sigh…. And as to the fingernail, that poster did find it, in my opinion, in the pointy end of Joy’s speech balloon, but her comment has apparently been flagged out.Now that DOES seem harsh. And Marg from yesterday — Thanks, and LOL.I never felt deceived; it’s been funny.By the time you get to our age you know to take a lot of things with a grain of salt, and I, of all people, would be hard to offend with a joke.

Susan, I know that after spending all this time looking for that “E”, I’d appreciate that help. I do hope someone will find it and tell me where it is. It’s certainly not as obvious as most days.

Good morning, Leaky and Susan. Check the grocery basket! Lard. Trix. Franks, Mayo. And now our new favourite, Scatt Tissue. They’ll never buy a candy bar from anyone for anything, but that kid better watch out for Joy and her purse.

These people do groceries multiple times a week and are (apparently) not buying anything perishable. Nearly ALL of mine are perishable, but I still usually shop only once a week, though if my favorite store were as close as the nearest one, I’d go more often.

As for the hidden pictures. I always look for it before I read the comments, so it isn’t spoiled for me. If I find it (and I usually do eventually) I then read the comments. If I don’t find it (like today) I hope someone points it out.

I admit I am stumped today. I thought it might be in the layout of the bricks, but so far ‘nada’. Does Ms. Larson ever point is out if no one finds it? She should have blog or something that someone can go to for the answer.

I do admit there is a point on the spoiler. When I was a kid and my mother took me to the doctor or dentist, I would go straight to the most update, "Highlights for Children’. My favorite page was the hidden pictures. Nothing took the wind out of my sails quicker than opening the magazine and finding someone had circled all the hidden pictures. ARRRGH!

Here is a little fyi on the Pennys. On occasion they will go to this vacation spot in Arizona. They only go on off season when the prices are very low. You see this place was founded by our own Marg. It is a nudist colony. Ray C, Vista Bill, Sydney Phillips and many other go comics members frequent this place. Online pics are available. Just ask Marg for the link. Susan and Mike, if you care to join, just check with Marg for membership.

Grog – yeah, I’ve never objected to telling later on, especially after anybody asks.

It was just when the first few came aboard and blabbed.

I’m still not crazy about that but it’s apparently the custom on GoComics, and I’m OK with that cos I like the neighborhood.

If that’s what you guys wanna do, I’d rather be invited to the barbecues than be known as a complainer….. or a Penny.

And I dunno, Leaky — all of us old farts sitting around in the altogether might be …um… altogether too much.

Then again, we’d get more entertainment out of it than a bunch of young squirts with no wrinkles to count or bald spots to measure….. and they don’t have all those years of funny stories and bad jokes to tell.

    :)

On the first panel—-the woman’s hair—-front. The bottom line should be a little thicker. Right???It’s just a guess, ‘cause it isn’t very clear.

No way the E is in Joy’s hair-there are SOO many right out there in the text that it must be, since noone found anything hidden. I would just as soon never see them but as they are in question…

For me to buy chocolate (even for a “cause”) it would still have to be some that I might actually eat- a pure organic dark chocolate. I bought some Newman’s recently and found it chalky tasting. I LOVE Green and Black’s.
