Boy, you could see this one coming a mile away! Either they’re going to spend a grand to win a C-note, or they’re going to eat the entire agricultural production of Ireland! And likely have done so several times before. Old Country Buffet should add some X-Lax or Ipecac to the desserts just about now. Good morning/night to all!

Stop wasting time on side dishes, keep working on the prime rib if you want your money’s worth.

    Good Morning Crustwoodians!

So… it’s “all in fun”, is it, Burl?

Both of his shirts point out that he’s a liar.

Actually he blew all their savings, and now Joy acts like it’s not her fault.

(Thanks for pointing out her shirt, Morgue. I might have just taken it for GymShoe’s favorite.

Will she rinse it for next Halloween?)

Anyhow, I don’t think a grand would cover it…. 500 strings of lights is half a grand right there, even at the dollar store.

Another thousand for a new shed… and how much for that custom pumpkin?

Even the little things add up….

    Joy’s going to >i>make 500 cupcakes???

Bet she buys most of them….. but even if not…..hmmmm…… 24 per box….. that’s over 20 boxes of cake mix…. $40? Plus frosting.

    Don’t forget the band…. Oh, you’re right…..$20.Cos they’re high school kids.

Maybe it’s a good thing they bought that shed…..

In 10 years they’re gonna have to retire in it, and rent their house out to make ends meet.

Eat up, Joy — while you can.

@Dave — enjoyed reading your posts from yesterday, and as I said, from the day before.

This is two nights in a row after busy days….. will try to reply in kind, sort of, tomorrow if I can.

(“Tomorrow” being later today, Crustwood time, cos it’s 1 am here right now.)

Won’t have such a busy day, AFAIK right now.

    @Everybody….. good night….

See you at the breakfast buffet…… if there was any food left for morning when they pushed the Pennys out at closing time.

Oh! Forgot to say, even with all that — GymShoe — does it look small again to you?

We had a SKUNK traipse thru the neighborhood earlier tonight. He sprayed something. On a cool, calm night, that stuff will hang forever! It came in the house thru the dryer vent. Gone now, TG!

    They make my skin crawl.

The bone must still be on the chicken leg. I can’t find it.

Did Burl have Joy hang 500 strands of lights as she implies? I can’t imagine either of them doing it (heck, I can’t imagine doing that much myself), but I was never that much into temporary decorations outside for any holiday.

@morgueritem, @SusanSunshine Yes. I noticed the pumpkin blouse today also… Probably see it tomorrow as well… Rinsed as Susan has predicted….And @Susan… I admit I had to look this one up – AFAIK is “As Far As I Know”…. Also regards comic size – YES it is the same size as last Sunday… NO improvement on the Sunday edition… Must start Campaign To “Right Size Sunday” as it is quite difficult to read as it is, enen zoomed up….! ! !.@Grog-in-a-half-shell… Think the BONE is front and center… in the “Food Trolly”…..? !

@Grog: I think the bone is on the bottom shelf of the Salads and Pudding cart, and it’s brown, not white as you might think a bone should be. I had to magnify the panel to even see it. So I’m not sure if that’s it, but it’s my best guess.

Look at those prices! A lot cheaper than the local Old Country Buffet.

once again burl-logic and burl-economics prevails. 500 strands of pumpkin lights would cost much more than even the prize for first place. also there’s no way you can eat $30.00 (or whatever) worth of food at an all you can eat buffet that costs $9.00 per person.

What is Burl holding in his hand? And I notice that they are missing the key to their savings box. I sure hope it’s not any where near their food.

They must have been bi-polar for a day to think they could do all that…and we know they didn’t do it for the kids!
