Marg — not only do the Pennys give 1¢ money cards for children’s birthdays and graduations, they only fill in one cent.
They tell the kid it’s an album for collecting pennies.
That way, it’s a present, too.

My M-I-L used to buy the complete years’ expected cards at one time and have them ready to go, addressed and all. Of course, that was back when peole didn’t move so much and postage was 6 cents. I don’t know what she did about sympathy cards, although I’m sure she had a “stash” of them as well, just not filled out!

Besides the problems with this strip, GoComics today finally totally disabled comments on 9CL. I can’t imagine why, as this week has been just cat drawings (nothing that would provoke salacious comments).
The Dinette Set comic shrunk once again in size and returned all to black & white onMonday, October 31 st….. Go back and look at Saturday, October 29 th to see the difference..The size was perfect before and now is too small to reveal the necessary artistic detail ……….The only way we have to get the comic “right sized” is to start a new round of complaints……...Here’s how to do it:.Go to GOCOMICS.com.Click on MY ACOUNTS which is near the upper left corner..Page down one screen and then under” HELP” you will find “ContactUs” Good Luck………………
BJ- I know that Brooke found the comments annoying but Gocomics (until today) showed the latest one and allowed posting (tho I never saw how many or any other than the latest). I love his drawing style in 9CL but Pibgorn is too extreme for my taste. I read a total of 30 daily on GoComics, plus Foxtrot on Sundays when some others do NOT update. I also read another 10 on local papers and 2 on ArcaMax (OBH and Dilbert).
