Yup… shoulda taped “TV Turn Off Week.”What would be on the tape?It SHOULD be nothing…but Burl would have taped the shows he’d be missing… so why didn’t he do that anyway?Ooh my head hurts trying to think like Burl…. The paper says national compliance was 80%…. and Crustwood…. oops… 5%.We all knew Crustwood marched to a different drummer……now we know he’s just following the beat on television.
Wow, Marg — we commented three hours ago, and no one else has arrived yet!The coffee’s cold already…. doesn’t matter to me cos I’m going to bed….but the rest of you Crustwoodian’s are just gonna have to make a fresh pot.Meanwhile, Leaky, if you see this, I really hope you didn’t mind my off-handed remark yesterday about Count Petofi.
Burl truly is an automaton. His body and daily functionings are controlled, or more accurately, merely facilitated by his spinal cord. There is no brain function or even presence. Food, shelter, pleasure, pain, threat. Yes. Cognition, awareness, understanding. Not a chance.Good morning Marg. Good morning Susan.
Good morning all! She did not give us much on which to comment. Do any of you comply with days that someone has decided that “everyone” should bike to work, not watch TV, turn off their lights, etc ad nauseum? Personally, if I want to do any of those I would do it more consistently than once a year. I happen to be amused by the TV (living alone and having all the digital channels) but I save power by not using a clothes dryer (all the time) and now I’m adding the film to my windows to cut back 80% of radiant heat (good for S E and W windows in Phoenix).
Let’s reach. Cincy is home to Procter and Gamble. The motels in the area probably have a lot of P&G products. The Pennys were running low on toiletries so the head to the shampoo mecca for some re-stocking.
I didn’t know there was a show called, “Turn Your TV Off Week..” ! lol Being from Cincinnati(Oh.), I can tell you that the hotels don’t have P&G products in the bathrooms. The Pennys did get their daily allotments of free soap to take home. I assume they were in Ohio, even though there’s four other places in the country called Cincinnati.
Yes- that’s funny, bet he DID! I’m really busy over watching hawk babies – so much fun now that the 1st is a fuzz ball! http://www.allaboutbirds.org/page.aspx?pid=2422&ac=ac
I left the spaces so you could use your imagination; Dark Shadows was that kind of show. There was only a short time in my life when I appreciated that.
