Can you imagine the Penny’s reaction if he had no money? What if it were a man and his young (very pregnant) wife from out of town looking for shelter and a place for her to deliver?
But they’ll congratulate themselves on stopping to “help” the guy out by pointing him in the right direction while ignoring his more immediate needs..Disclaimer: This is a statement; it is only a statement.
Unfortunately, “out of gas” is a very common phrase now being used by panhandlers. I’ve lost $15 several times when people ran out of gas in front of my house and had no money to refill my can.
A few months ago, I had a flat tire one mile from my house. Someone stopped & asked if I needed help, I said what I really needed was a one mile ride to get the big jack in my other truck & back again. He gave me the ride, brought me back, and the long story short, he was an out of work auto mechanic. We’ve been friends since, and I get the highest quality work done on my truck for a very fair price. He gets paid cash for his work, and he actually restored some of my faith in man with his assistance & the work that he’s done. My friends also have him work on their cars, they are happy with his work. He’s a good, hardworking, honest man….the kind of man I try to be, and that I look for in a friend.
Was I nervous getting into the truck with him? A little, but sometimes you have to have a little faith in others…..
I believe BURL and JOY will wind up giving him a ride at least one way…...I give starngers a ride qite often…. Usually I see the disabled auto first… then figure how far the walk is…. then pick up and drop off the person…. .We all need some tally marks on the “nice” side to make up for the ones that some how got on the “naughty” side…. ! ! ! BURL needs a whole bunch…..! ! !

Obviously, the Pennys don’t ever need to put gas in THEIR car….it runs on the milk of human kindness.
!0 points from me if you can spot the extra Find-It: Joy’s heart.Don’t waste much time looking.

The Penny’s may be inappropriate (as always), but there is no way I would let a stranger in my car. Offer to call for help.

It’s a shame to live in a society in which it is not safe to offer a stranger a ride, but infortunately, that’s how it is.

I’m suprised the Pennies didn’t charge for giving directions

These days it’s very dangerous to give a stranger a ride. I would probably offer to bring it back for him so he could wait inside his car.
