I wonder if Burl’s 1st grade has a class ring? Oh, that’s right, he didn’t graduate because of all those “F’s.” The high point of his acdemic career was pre-school. He mastered the cookies and milk assignment.
I guess they didn’t get the one from a few days ago. Maybe the sales man wasn’t quite helpful for them. What is the difference in a PC and a desk puter any way? They all look the same to me. Poor Timmy The horror of the thought of staying home with grand pa. How stupid he’ll feel when papering the bush in the front yard. I don’t think they’ll use TP though because of the cost. He has no life now and they want to strip it from him again.
Timmy will get to go to college, as they will have a scheme to get to some of the college loan money that he will have to pay back. Besides, Dale had the special award of his dunce hat at graduation, so he knows the importance of good education.
Timmy listen to me….Work during the day and go to night school… 2 courses per semester…Pay as you go…. Took me 9 years for debt free, drug free engineering degree…. ! ! !.Then 15 years later another 5 years nights for microcomputer degree… ! ! !
Happy Birthday Susan Sunshine! I had no idea it was your BD until Marg posted her birthday greeting! So please forgive the lateness of my good wishes — they are no less heartfelt! Many happy returns of the day!!!
I have to wonder – did Patty get to go away to school? My parents sent me to a protestant College in WI for my first year (but I had just had myself baptized RC at 18) so I begged to switch to Rosary nearby and spent at least a semester boarding (learned about breakfast breads from the nuns – very yummy) and spent some evenings in the dorm kitchen with some foreign students (strudel-yum)! But it was close enough to commute and my parents missed my cooking dinners so I was back to living at home. I even had to relinquish my lovely slide rule to my brother (and I’d bet he never used it). I did partly because I liked the feel of it (and the leather case was pretty too).
My kids went to state colleges, except for eldest son who had a full scholastic scholarship to BU (and coached the gymnastics team as well). Both the 2 oldest of them graduated w/honors and now have PHDs. The youngest of my lover’s kids graduated in Physics (and married a car salesman). My daughter is my youngest and in her 3rd marriage. I chose not ever to remarry because he had vowed never again after his and there will never be anyone else for me ( he’s just perfect ).

University of Dullsville will take you, Timmy. “Uncle Burl” will pull some strings and get you in on a legacy waiver.

And yeah, just ask Dale whether you should get a PC or a regular computer….
