I’m always thinking pleasant thoughts at bedtime (never nighttime news or crime shows) so I fall asleep in a snap.
Even coffee near bedtime never bothered me (but no stimulants in my current routine – tho’ my man claims that the other seasonings I use are stimulants (cinnamon, ginger, cayenne etc) Many of the same spices I use (turmeric, oregano) are IN some of the supplements I take.
Leaky’s avatar looks just like the view out my upstairs window this morning (sun was just coming over distant mountains). I now have 2 weather icons on my desktop for real time and showing 75 here AND Chicago. But here 75 is cool (if not chilly) while there it is more toward the muggy side (not quite as bad as Florida).
I don’t imagine Julie will continue the thread about the trees to block the view. I just uploaded more to my Flickr and wanted to share the actual 9 arborvitae I used to block my messy neighbor.
Burl has nothing but time to waste, he hasn’t been going to work since his “injury”. Dazz, how in the world did you get such lush arbor vitae to grow in the desert? We tried in Las Vegas, but they remained puny even with tender care. Then the new owners ripped them out and planted palm trees which don’t belong in the high desert as the winters are too cold. Here in the Pacific Northwest I’m hesitant to plant them as they can grow to great height.
I doubt BURL would ever wax his car…… I don’t bother any more either….
Skip the auto supply isle and join JOY in the snack isle…. ! ! ! Pick up some Herring, sardines, smoked oysters, French onion dip, potato chips, Fritos, Ho Ho’s and dark chocolate. Did I leave anything out…? ? ? OH… Champaign… YES..! ! !
@2old, you didn’t read the comments that went with that story. That was my old house in Illinois where I lived over 30 years. I’ve never had any difficult neighbors here (and I only have to deal with space above 6’ walls). I DO have an Italian Cypress that is just beautiful here. IL garden has hostas and blue spruce too, but here I have a huge pine and 2 kinds of palm trees (not the Queens). @Gym, the only thing that I like of that list is the chocolate (and doc still lets me have that). We love oysters but only baked with spinach and parmesan ;-D
I HATE moving and try to make each house into my favorite place to be. The cypress can be seen just behind the fan palm at the left side of this fountain. Fountain was my first change (and replacing a lawn the size of a putting green with flagstone patios on both sides. My grapefruit tree is behind the fountain.

A good time was had by all.
The highlight was when Marg tried to cook her “red snapper”Thank God Don kept her off the grill.

Why does Burl want to wax his turtle?
Leaky…. Good morning!I didn’t think you’d be on your feet so early…or at any time today.
And I didn’t think they’d let Marg out …er… that Marg would be in town for the party…
And Don can move pretty fast in spite of that ankle bracelet, can’t he?
What would they do without friends like you….and Officer Kaminski and his patrol car.

I see Julie realised we’re not buying the “C” cup….even D doesn’t seem up to the task.
Burl’s time is very valuable, you know…can’t waste it on upscale places like Target when he might miss a 2-fer bin at the dollar store.

And Finale… I so wish that were it.

Burl would only be able to wax the sides of his car, as he couldn’t possibly reach to the middle of the hood or top with that pot belly in between.

Silly me, I made a reference to wind chimes over at Ballard Street (and I realize now Leaky will never see it).
