Just have whoever has to sit on the end turn and stare, unblinking at Burl. Have him, every few seconds, open his mouth and lean over like he’s about to say something, but don’t. As a special added touch, have him move his hand rapidly up and down over his crotch. Even a flatliner like Burl can’t take that for long. He’ll move before the previews are finished. Of course, the reward isn’t so great, getting to sit next to Joy, bathed in the complex aroma of dollar store cologne and bra overdue for a rinse.
I think, for once, Burl is right. He’s being sarcastic about the way these people are so anxious to be close to each other that they “must have” come through the door all together. Of course, it’s nothing to move over one seat, but six people wanting to sit right together badly enough to ask someone to move, one would predict that there would be a lot of conversation during the movie. Personally, I’d get up and move somewhere else entirely.
