I walked away from gum, when I was a child. In school, there were always loads of chewed gum stuck under my desk and lots of chewed gum always stuck in inconvenient places on playground equipment and in and on lockers and restrooms.
The heck with the gum, I want to know how many brownies are in a serving. I mean, if I just dump the pan out and not cut it up, that’s one serving, right?
I don’t believe there is anything that would keep Burl from swallowing. And btw, the Heimlich maneuver won’t work on tapioca unless it has very large lumps (ugh!).

Never understood the attraction to gum. Chewed Fleer’s bubblegum when I was about 7. That was about it. Loved the comics and fortune in the wrapper.
