Your logic is incomprehensible. why is a mall walker handicapped?

In the early 90’s I managed a nice chocolate shop in a mall, where walkers were allowed in for an hour before the stores were open…
the idea was they’d be through exercising before they disturbed any shoppers, and then they could patronise the businesses before they went home.
Ha!
They all found out my shop gave samples…. hopefully to prospective buyers.
We had the same six or eight mallwalkers waiting for our rolling gates to go up every morning, to get their “free” chocolate.
Our chocolates were fairly expensive…. and about 32 pieces to a pound.
One piece a day for a month is almost a pound per person.
Nobody else came every day… real customers aren’t in the mall that often, and employees knew better.
The mall walkers had chutzpah like the Pennys.
We sampled whatever was about to out-date, or sometimes extras the company sent, just to promote a certain kind.
They’d say, “Oh, I don’t care for nougat…. may I have a chocolate truffle?”
With good customers sometimes I said OK… but none of the walkers bought anything…. not EVER…
and they acted like my pals cos they came every day.
I couldn’t be rude…. but the company said to stick to the sample box and start giving them half pieces.
A few got angry. I remember a woman saying they shouldn’t be treated like that cos they were “regulars”!
Finally they drifted away…. except for one older couple who were actually neighbors of mine.
I never saw them socially…. but now they were my best friends…
stopping by every morning, thinking they deserved whole pieces of whatever they wanted, and never spending one nickel.
I’m sure they had relatives in the Penny clan.

Its like the people who go to a gym or health club to work out and park as close to the door as possible
We are losing our Sears and Kohls.
Most of the malls, especially with Sears and Kohls stores have pretty empty parking lots these days.
