    If you could care less, then you might care more. However, since everyone seems to know what you mean the grammar folks say either could or couldn’t is acceptable. Guess they could/couldn’t care less!

    I could care less – means you are capable of caring less.I couldn’t care less – means you are incapable of caring less. So people who say “I could care less,” are really saying they feel they care too much!
