I’m not sure when my economic meter froze, but I do think back fondly to 30 cents/gallon gasoline.

I’m still very young. Well, until I think about my actual age anyway. I mostly get that way about things I haven’t purchased recently, and things I don’t think have much value. I spent $100 on eye cream and was cool with it, but $3 for windshield wiper fluid feels like such a rip-off. Crap, there’s a “hey, you kids, get off of my lawn” just bubbling up in me, isn’t there?

I grow old, I grow old, I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. Do I dare to eat a peach? I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach.
