Actually you can do something like this. A saucer or shallow bowl with water + dish detergent set on the floor near dog’s bed. Position a desklamp so it shines in the dish. fleas will be attracted to the heat and drown in the water soap combo. Won’t take the place all other treatments, but it helps. Gets the ones that have set up housekeeping in the carpet or upholstery.

Why would you bathe a cat? -they’re self cleaning and flea collars are very effective.

Flea collars are horrible. Just get some Frontline!! It’s once a month topical preventative medication!!!
