Contrary to popular belief, porcupines cannot “shoot” their quills. The quills have tiny barbs which catch in whatever touches them the wrong way and they can release the follicles so that the quills will stay with the “toucher”. You can actually pet a porcupine, as long as you pet in the direction of the quill growth.
Good afternoon everyone. Ouch! That hurts! The porcupine is allergic to dogs? That’s realy funny.-——@JanCinLV: Thanks for the ‘pointy’ info.-——Be happy and healthy my friends.
