I only wish it were. If people were half as loyal and loving and had hearts and as beautiful as dogs it would be a much better place.
My two female dogs mark their territory, also. One of them lifts her back leg to do it.
“Bending the rules…”? What rules? The only rules in nature, for living creatures, are: Survive and Reproduce. Marking what he feels is he’s territory, as a dog, is one way he “thinks” he can follow those rules.
Except for our house – my dog has already marked every room as his.
