Mind candy: Amazing to think the sun will continue to burn for billions of years when you find out that the sun burns 600 MILLION TONS of hydrogen EVERY SECOND. That’s one huge gas tank.

Technically it uses fusion (ultra-high heat and immense pressure) to convert the hydrogen to helium at 598 million tons per second. The missing 2 million tons is the amount that was converted to energy like heat and light.
