My mom used to draw cat paper dolls for us. We would make clothes for them and the hats would have slits for their ears to poke up through. Sweet memories.
My cousin Judy was a very good artist. She was 5 years older than me, but she would still play dolls with me even though she outgrew them before I did. My favorite movie as a kid was the original Parent Trap with Hayley Mills. Judy drew paper dolls of the twins, one with long hair and one with short and of their costumes from the movie. I loved those paper dolls so much I literally wore them out. She died 3 years ago, and I miss her so much.
My sister and I would spend hours making clothes for the paper dolls. Then we would invent stories about going on cruises for them and all their fancy clothes.
I have fond summer memories of us neighborhood girls getting together and creating paper doll clothes. We would talk about anything and everything. Good times.

Oh my! She’s making her own paper dolls, and doll clothes. I’d completely forgotten about them. So long ago! Melissa, how do you know about them?

I used to have a digital version. There were also Flash dress up games, but Flash was deemed a safety hazard.
