We are talking nine weeks a month for Mr. Obama’s predecessor, right? Yes, I know that doesn’t work out, but Mr. Obama’s predecessor has a problem with basic math. And basic English. And basic a-whole-lot-of-things, really…

“Lazy,” of course, is code. It’s one of those words used only to describe certain people. I think everyone here except Tucci and Ray Thomas understands what is really meant here.

Don’t like his policies? Challenge his policies. Just calling him names makes you sound like a goober.

Bush’s kids were of legal age and in college when he took office, unlike Obama, whose kids were 7 and 9 when he took office. Once kids are ready for college, good luck insisting they go on vacation with the rest of the family. It is a way different situation…

It isn’t about how much vacation time you take, it’s about what you actually do and accomplish. Hard to say the President is doing much with no budget in 5 years, no money for infrastructure upgrades, constantly confirming what Bush Jr did (Patriot Act, Guantanamo, drone killings, ignorance of foreign policy…), and now puts in a health care act that still isn’t law, forces people to pay for non-health care stuff while treating different people differently (which is, BTW, unconstitutional) and is soaring in cost estimates before it starts like it’s part of the F-35 project!

Dr.Tucci, the birth certificate argument has been put to rest. President Obama’s father was Barak Hussein Obama, Sr. He was from Kenya and a British subject. Mr. Obama’s mother was a natural United States citizen by virtue of her being born in Kansas, USA. Mr.Obama was born in Hawaii. Please, all this vitriol is not good for your blood pressure. If the only thing you really don’t like about the President is the color of his skin, then you really need counselling. We are the “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and rhetoric like yours and the recalcitrant republicans in Congress is not doing anything to advance our nation. Let’sstart a new journey today by going forward as a nation “UNITED” under one flag and work for the good of all people. And, sir, all these attacks you make on people on this forum are simply uncouth and childish.

That’s another BIG FAT LIE. Obama spent $2.6 million on post campaign related legal expenses. John McCain’s rather smaller, losing campaign spent over $1.3 million on legal expenses after the election. Those legal expenses had nothing to do with “hiding” records. This is easily researched by anyone with a working brain & access to Google.Because of the frivolous lawsuits brought by birthers, the US Government has been forced to defend the election result at a cost of millions. This has been so well researched that you have to be full of hate to continue doubting Obama’s birth in Hawaii.Stop being the “Party of Stupid”.

Yeah, I remember Bush flying Southwest Coach class to his ranch… NOT! Laura & the Bush daughters traveled with Secret Service agents & government staff everywhere they went. And contrary to the lies being posted, their trips cost at least as much as the Obama family’s.Tucci & his troll posse are racist, hateful liars. Not worth reading or responding.Any thinking conservatives know the GOP must quit being the Party of Stupid. Come up with a good plan to get the economy going… besides tax cuts for the investing class. We’ve seen how little that helps the middle class. Keep on the current path of backing defining your party with tax cuts & divisive social issues & you’ll go the way of the Whigs.

Obama does have family members in Hawaii. Hawaii is one of the places where he grew up. Of course, Hawaii is special to him. My inlaws live in Hawaii. If my daughter is to visit her grandparents we make the long trip to Hawaii. Yes, it is a special place. It also has about a million or so people who live there, many of whom have family members on the mainland.

On his taxing the rich, why does he not get his billionaire supporters to pony up the tax dollars he seems to apply only to Republicans? BTW, isn’t he also rich?

I’ve been able to copy-and-paste when needed, but I can’t get the hang of spacing, italics, and so on. Someone once referred me to a place on gocomics where they give instructions for things like italics, but I can’t remember how to get there now, and gocomics ain’t sayin’. So I just keep trying things. It does seem that you ought to be able to copy your piece from the other forum, come back over here, and paste it in.

Obama rarely goes home to Hawaii to visit, typically at Christmas. Another time he went was when his grandmother who had a big role in his life, was dying right before he was elected. He has the right to visit his family even if they are in Hawaii. Hawaii is part of the United States. Bush was in Crawford, Texas far more frequently when he was in office.

Crawford for the following reasons:1- Crawford is further from DC than the Florida trip Obama took this weekend.2- When Obama takes a long distance vacation- Hawaii- it is for 1 to 2 weeks. Bush used to spend up to 6 weeks at his ranch, which means the secret service detail had to set up camp and then break camp for 6 weeks.3- Because of the size of the ranch a larger Secret Service detail was needed than is needed for Obama’s private home in Chicago or for any of the places he has vacationed.4- The Daily Mail published an article that expense for maintaining the White House and First Family in 2011 was $1.4 billion. There was a great out cry. What they did not mention was that in 2008- the last full year GW Bush was President- the expenditure was $1.598 billion. The budget for White House expenditure DECLINED by nearly $200 million since Obama became President.
