Boopsie: How'd you know it's for Elvis? Man: After a year, I can tell you, honey. What sort of arrangement you want? Boopsie: Well, because it's for his grave, I want it to be really special, y'know? I was thinking of three dozen white lilies shaped like a broken heart... and then maybe a guitar in the center made of red carnations, and also a pink satin "Elvis Forever" sash. But it has to be... uh... Man: Dignified? Boopsie: That's it! Man: Harry! Gimme an E-47 without the motor!

When I think of Graceland, dignified is the word that comes to mind.

I think the hype has eased up a bit over the years—a lot of Elvis’ fans have passed on too.

If you’re the reading type, the series of books by Charlaine Harris..the same books True Blood was based on..although they changed the stories quite a bit and left out some characters. One such character was “Bubba” who was, apparently, “turned” by a technician (who was a big fan) in the morgue when his body was brought in….unfortunately..the change to vampire left “Bubba” a little light in the brain box..but sweet!
Lots of funny situations throughout the series because “Bubba” (everyone is ALWAYS cautioned to never use his “other name” as it gets him “real upset!”!

I think Elvis lives down my street. Sure looks like him.

“But hold the motor!” would have been funnier. But still a good gag.

I almost lost my lunch laughing when I read the last panel. Poor Boopster, thinking her creation was actually original AND dignified. Never understood the fascination with dead artists, or when they were alive for that matter. Loving their music and buying it should be enough. Why the worship??? Now that part escapes me.

Sorry, I’m lost at the joke. What’s an E-47, and why “without the motor”?
