Don’t you just love it when people get an idea in their heads, and no matter what you say, they won’t or can’t dislodge it? They say, “But I thought . . .” a lot.

Of course she knew what she was doing! It’s right there on her list: procreate the Red Rascal one fine day. (Or maybe Jeff is the result of one fine night, I don’t know……)

I hear Joanie’s voice in my head – soft spoken, almost grandmotherly (not that she’s that old – there’s still that Rascal to arrive). Gentle but tending to patient and firm as she sets about to explain to dear Zonker.
