    Just give Mike and Zonk a couple of decades until big manufacturers catch on to the enormous profits to be had from assuaging people’s overwrought conscience. Then they’ll buy their way out.

    From lithium batteries for cars to quinoa to artisinal organic clothes to scented candles, people are too busy listening to their feelings to understand the ecological and human devastation wrought by products designed to make them feel better.

    The Romantic movement, which introduced the idea that it’s not stupid to make decisions based on feelings, is the most destructive force in human history.
