We’ve always been tribal. We like to associate with others who we feel we have opinions and other attributes in common. That makes us comfortable and we like to be comfortable.
Danged if you do and danged if you don’t. You can really tell what a man stands for when he has to make a decision that will paint him bad, no matter which way he goes.
And the trend is getting worse. Calls for integration and assimilation is the new racism. Now more than ever with the influx of immigrants from around the world. My grandparents demanded that their children become part of the dream. Today it is all about carving out an enclave. Even with blacks with 10 generations in the US.
