Ralph: Hey, Norm, here's an easy job for you... Go out to the car and put this vehicle registration sticker on the license plate! Norman: OK. Ralph: The rear license plate! Just peel off the sticker and put it in the upper right corner of the rear plate! It's very simple! Norman: OK. Ralph: The upper right corner of the rear plate on our car!! Norman: OK. Ralph: And be careful because it's very sticky, and if you put it in the wrong place, it's almost impossible to... On second thought, I'd better do it! Norman: OK. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though!

flanders— California does. I don’t know about other states. Kevin Fagan lives in California.

In California it goes in the UPPER right corner of the plate.

in Ontario it’s top right as well.when the province first switched to the sticker system (instead of having to get a new plate every year) people were warned via the media that you couldn’t move them after you stuck them on the plate and there were still idiots who just had to try out the glue on their fridges or stoves or what have you and then complained when the had to pay again to get a new sticker to replace the one they’d misused.

All the better people who do not care to insure or register their cars used to steal our rear plate. State got smart and they are on the windshield now.

Texas moved them inside on the windshield, but they don’t care if your plates are stolen, they will just make you buy more.
