Not that I’d do it, but this doesn’t seem that far-fetched – isn’t there still a marshmallow spread out there for sandwiches?

Peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches were popular in our house.

Maybe he’s trying to improve on the Fluffer Nutter. Anyone remember Fluffer Nutters?

Anything goes with peanut butter. I’ve made peanut butter and mustard, peanut butter with mayonnaise, peanut butter with ketchup, peanut butter with pickles, peanut butter with Fritos, peanut butter with peanuts. Try peanut butter with molasses, or peanut buter with honey. The one I’m most proud of inventing is peanut butter with jalapeno peppers.

Can’t nearly be as bad as a peanut butter and sardine sandwich. (And yes, I know somone who ate one on a dare)

davidf42: In my childhood (late 1930s), peanut butter and mustard was quite popular, but only on crackers, not bread. I have not gotten the nerve to try it lately.

I used to have sandwiches of peanut butter and cheddar cheese. I don’t remember if I included anything else in those (sliced banana would be better). Now I’m thinking of supper, but it’s too early – guess I’ll have a drink. ;-D
