June: How was your first day of school, Penny?
Penny: It stinked! I mean, it stunked! Wait, I don't know what the right word is! Stinked? Stunked? Stanked? Darn! This probably means I have to keep going to school, doesn't it?
Translation: “The school had a disagreeable odor; it was undecided if it was the attendees, the behavior of the staff or the general ambiance of the building.”
I’ve never been able to figure out why so many people hated their school experience, feel it didn’t really accomplish anything, yet are satisfied to force their own children to go through the same years of various misery, boredom, etc. Why hasn’t this generation done something about the abysmal state of the public education system?

I didn’t like school, so I sneaked out. I mean I snuck out. Or maybe I snought out.

Yes, Penny, you have many more years to go until you’re a successful college student like your big brother Norm.

School stunk — that means the kid next to her had an “accident”.
