While we had our dog & cats we never bought inflatable pools. Thankfully, they make ones with thicker sides, although after a few years, we just bought a cattle tank instead.
Our cat went outside when it rained. In fact, found her as a kitten next to the door across from our back door when it was raining late at night. Brought her in and she adopted us.

Too bad you don’t have Garfield as a pet cat because he is too lazy to do something like that. Plus, he likes doughnuts just as much as you, too.
