From a purely sports standpoint, Rodgers’ “personal choice” kept him out of last week’s game. The Packers were forced to go with a guy making his first professional start, who in turn played like he was making his first professional start. Predictably, the Packers lost.
Which means that they now need to hope Arizona loses again sometime this season if they want a first-round bye.
“Personal choices” are fine when you work alone. The second you become part of a team—athletic, business, artistic, whatever—you have to consider how those choices are going to impact your teammates.

Aaron Rodgers did state his reasons. But they should have been reported sooner.

Rodgers’ reputation is well known in some circles, and now he’s exposed himself.
