MLB = such hypocrites. Pete said it himself; if he’d beat his wife/girlfriend or used steroids, he’d have been forgiven. And now of course, anyone can bet on a game. He wasn’t a perfect human being, who is? I’ve just never thought that the punishment fit the crime.

Shoeless Joe Jackson should go in before Pete Rose

the various leagues still prohibit the players from betting on their respective games, or any games. Ask Jontay Porter about gambling

For all that Rose accomplished, his greatest failure was the unwillingness to show true remorse for what he did, which was to bet on baseball games as a player and manager, clearly cited as a HUGE no-no in the rules of the game. There was no denying his ability, and his record for total career hits will unlikely be broken, but his absence from the Baseball Hall of Fame is just.
