He caught her in the original chase because she wanted to be caught. She does not want to be caught right now. ;o; What’s going to happen at the tower? I’ll be on the edge of my seat come Monday.

Run run run Wally. If she gets away head for the other alavator somewhere else. At least I presume that there is another, run over the area where the rats are who beat him up before, and catch her before she jumps. So Run!!!!Blessed Be

Well, got a good surprise tonight, volumes 3 and 4 of the Endtown books arrived in my mailbox. Volumes 3 and 4 are slightly longer in length than volumes 1 and 2. Also the format inside is slightly different, which has a fair number more pages than the first two volumes. I’ll have to spend some time reading through them. They were shipped on Monday, so others who are eagerly expecting their copies, the should arrive soon if not already.

That is one fast mouse! She is running wild and all out bookin’ it. I hope she just wants time alone. But what she needs is for Wally to catch her!She has headed into the out of control mode.

Considering what all she has been thru, She is reacting very much like so many of us would.

For Wally to show up late, and then hasn’t fixed the place up were the last straw. The ONE person who she counted on to be there for her, she thinks he doesn’t love her. Poor wee mousy.

    Again with the hickory-dickory-dock!

It occurs to me some people only speak up here when they have a grievance about the direction of the comic. For the record, Aaron, this is certainly my favourite strip, and I look forward to each one.

I’m not sure Holly is planning on jumping. It may be more a matter of reaching the farthest, most difficult to get to point, and then wrapping up into a little ball and never coming back out.

I will go against the grain. I think Wally might catch before she jumps, but needs some time alone, in a place where she knows she has some tiny bit of control. She wants to be alone to find out if she wants to live. She may feel responsible because she got Linda a job, put her on the night shift, and everyone probably knew that nice old man came around every night looking for cake and it’s all Holly’s fault. Apologies for that sentence. But I don’t think she will jump. On an entirely unrelated note, does anyone know where Aaron Neathery moved to, and if there is a torch and pitchfork supply house nearby.Remember to get your Endtown books, prints and swag from the buttons to the right. At the Endtown auction site button, there is a yellow tab near the bottom of the page. Please use that yellow donate button to the best of your abilities. I think she’s going to seclude herself for a bit. I’ve never seen anything about her to denote suicidal tendencies. She might see the world thru rose coloured glasses but that doesn’t make her blind. Yet, she has been traumatized. Still Angus wouldn’t let her jump. And Wally is right behind her…

Oh, it is kind of good Holly will have to turn the doorknob and that may give Wally a second to catch her. It also has hinges on the left, so she will have to pull the door open, which gives Wally another half second. The door may be unlocked ocked, and Holly has a key or not. One completely stops her there, the others further slow her escape. If Holly does get in, AND locks Wally out, I could have that door off in short order, but not quickly enough to stop her from jumping, if she really wants to jump. It is not necessarily enough force to kill her, but to seriously damage a lot of bones and other things.I think she just wants to be left alone, but I want Wally to catch her and support her and help Holly gain some perspective. She needs him, as countless before, including Wally, needed her insight and compassion.JusSayin

I’m guessing that she needs to get away and seclude herself for awhile as she tries to sort through all she’s been through. I’m imagining she may have a few cross words for Wally when he catches up to her.I’m wondering if Wally doesn’t have depressive tendencies. I have chronic depression and while meds help, I still have the tendency to leave things undone when hit with a heavy blow. In this case, the Milk Trial may have hit Wally so hard that he couldn’t find the energy to clean up the broken glass and get the couch inside.

Methinks the best way Wally can help Holly now, is to move into the Tower with her.If she is so determined to stay there for x-number of years, then at least she won’t be alone. And neither will Wally.

Scenario for next week (my guess, so we all know how poor that will be)Holly makes it through the door and locks Wally out.Holly gets to the top of the stairs and steps out onto the landing.Linda is waiting for her. Linda had time to get to the tower because Holly made the side trip to the house.Maude could be there also as her feet are longer than Linda’s.

I got my books yesterday and Book 4 ends after Flask’s “rebirth”. It’s the whole story up to this present one.

JusSayin was just saying yesterday that the rats might be a failed experiment to create a perfect soldier. Maybe their creators were using a transgenic agent to combine rat and human DNA, and the agent either escaped its controls or was released deliberately, causing the mutation plague. The rats may be a source of the mutagen, not a result.

That is a very good scenario. Congrats on that one. Very well thought out.And on the point of Holly she sat in that tower every day for years considering choices. I think she did always think about ending it all but decided to give it a chance. Those early emotional thoughts have come flooding back. Like you I see it in her eyes. Those are scary eyes. Allie had those same eyes. Just as she died. Like the life force drive has been extinguished in those eyes.

One thought:Marx put Wally through the wringer on the airship, forcing him to make a decision on killing Flask in order to take control of the ship and save Holly. Now, Marx was the one that had Holly locked up and mistreated for a month. He may be prepping her for her own “wringer”, which should then end in her making a similar difficult decision or action.

Holly won’t jump. She needs fresh air. Her home is wrecked, her morale is in shreds. Symbolically she feels the need to rise above all the horror.

I’m going to also guess “no jumping” for Holly. I think she’s just looking for someplace to be alone for a while. Her first choice was her own home but since that’s been wrecked, she’s heading for her second choice, the clock tower.

Hard to frame an appropriate comment on this one. Seems once Holly goes up the clock tower, and Wally catches up with her, it’s really gonna depend on what Holly says and what Wally says to her. Unless that clock tower guy is still around and has things to say, I don’t think it’ll involve anybody else, at least not right away.

I just got my 3 +4. To get ready, I read 1 and am about halfway thru 2. I think I found proof that Sanders didn’t die. I don’t find the dates easily, but it’s right about a 3rd way in. We saw Sanders see the timer. then theaimes-worth laser or whatever it is, took out the middle of the shelf that A&G were on. As they holding Petey, there is one panel with an elbow showing over a platform or poster that says 307 FALCON.It’s Not Al’s elbow, and I don’t think it’s Gustine’s elbow. I just went back, (on computer) and looked at 12/10/12. thru 12/12/‘12. I think that is the clue to what Hollie will do, and maybe ties in to this plot. Why DID they want to bring Linda to End town?I figured it just happened because of Hollie’s conscience in that you save whoever you can. But That may have been a forewarning of why they got the new council and Marx’s,Rabbit’s, Allgood’s behavior. I do hope Angus is up there. That’s his job.

“Linda may have gone directly to the tower.”Possible, but I wouldn’t expect that to be her first choice. My question is whether anyone cleaned up Maude’s building, or if the wreckage was left as-is because the police tape was never taken down. It may be that someone replaced Maude as caretaker and reassigned Linda’s room to someone else on the waiting list. In that case, the tower might be the only place Linda could go, but I’m not sure if she’d naturally gravitate there immediately after returning to Endtown.

It’s possible that there were strict instructions from the High Council, enforced by the rats, that the crime scenes must be left as they were. The ostensible reason given may have benn that it was necessary to preserve the evidence. The real reason may have been to keep them as a visible and distressing reminder of the evils being wrought on the town by the dysfunctional government (as actually instigated by the people secretly in charge, who were operating as a deliberate parody of that same dysfunctional government).
