I remember working 20 hour days just so Mobil could have tumblers to give to customers as an incentive to buy their gasolene. That and S & H Green Stamps are best forgotten.
BP credit card had a program for getting the price of a gallon a gas reduced whenever you used their card anywhere. I was getting gas for 10 cents a gallon. Than they “improved” on their offer. Now you have to use your phone at the gas pump to get 5 cents off on a gallon. Sign on the pump says, “Do not use your phone near the gas pump”. They’re trying to kill their customers.
