I am “larger” than I used to be but I will also say “sizes” are different. If I buy a product made in one Country a certain size fits, but from another Country same size will be too small even the same “brand” and “style”. I have shoes from many years ago that still fit me size 10 1/2 but now they say I need a size 12 go figure.
Many shirts are put together by some very thin person in Cambodia or somewhere. The L and XL shirts have wrist sizes that you can’t even button. Just too tight.

Even though it may be the same size, different fabrics or brands/manufacturers make clothes fit very different.
