One of my best password schemes back when I was working consisted of a word and special character (which I never had to change) that started with upper case, followed by month and year – like Pass!0299, then Pass!0399, etc. I changed it on the first of the month and never forgot it. Did that for the last decade or so that I worked.
Now there is second authentication. Many websites require a code sent to a separate cell phone. Does everyone have a cell phone — and sufficient signal? (Not me.)

I write all my passwords down. It saves on aggravation.
