I was on a conf call once while I had a cold and it was the day where my nose was like a faucet. So it was a repeating cycle of mute/blow/unmute/talk until the inevitable forgot to mute/blow.
What that must have sounded like to my colleagues around the world. There was a pause, but no one said anything (including me).

I’ve been on conference calls where people have fallen asleep; they’re snoring into their headset, unmuted.
