A student of mine once called me “grandpa”. I was 29 at the time.
I had a classmate who kept tripping up and calling the teacher “Mom”, instead of “Mrs. Dumont”. Probably because the teacher WAS her mother.

Jeez. People are gonna bug her him about THAT? I did that once or twice. I laughed at myself for it!
These kids all look like short 30-somethings.
Since my mom was my teacher I called her mom.
I had my son in my class once – he pretty much went out of the way to not have to address me as anything.
