Big Comedy… What a joke!

I’m reminded of Dr Stephen Novella’s joke about what we call alternative medicine that works.

His point made sense. The medicine he prescribed made dollars. Whose laughing now?

Comedy does not have side effects that seem to always include death.

There was a Greek philosopher who died laughing at his own joke. I forget his name. There was a also a Monty Python skit in which during WWII the British design a deadly funny joke in German and play it over a loudspeaker in a forest. The German soldiers drop dead laughing.

Comics go onstage and die all the time. It’s pitiful to see.
