John: This is it, Ted... it's finally happened... after all this time & all we've been through... she's leaving me. I tried to treat her well... I thought I'd given her everything! Where am I going to find another hygienist like Marie?
I am with amott. It can be hard to lose someone who works well with you, and is a good right hand perrson. In many cases, it’s like losing a best friend, or some cases a good mentor or other figure, especially if you have been together for a while.
I wish he could bring himself to be happy for Marie rather than just lamenting his own loss. But hopefully he’ll find another hygienist who will do as well.
Wildmustang, when a person works really well with you, you call them your “right-hand-man”. It means that you and that person work together almost like one person…you are that good with each other on work projects. Your right-hand-man makes your work easier.

That’s pretty funny. Ted thought John was talking about Elly leaving him!

Gweedo, it’s pronounced roo’-nar; it’s a rough translation of my actual first name.
