I said it before, I’ll say it again: Desperation is really, REALLY unattractive in a woman!

Clueless! Every thought is filtered through their sex organs. Were this only the exception rather than the rule.

There are none so blind as those who WILL NOT see.

Ooof. How pathetically desperate. Is this an attempt to make the readers hate this character?

Oh be honest! Every woman has had a crush or ‘swooned’ over a man they knew wasn’t right for them. As long as they don’t go off the deep end and totally turn their lives upsidedown for the man it’s normal, OK and fun!

I don’t think Connie’s desperate. Women experience the same mid-life crisis/desire as men to have a complete life changing overhaul (or at least fantasize about it for a short while). Just instead of buying sports cars and pretending we’re 19 years old and “cool,” women seem to go after a wrong guy if they’re single. Or lust after the pool boy if they’re not. :P

Ok is that Connie’s cup of coffee that’s being dropped in the last panel or Elly’s? I think it’s Elly’s though we see Connie drinking coffee in the first panel.

What sort of women do you hang out with? All the women I know think with their heads and their hearts.

I think these two might be just right for each other. Connie and Phil are both kind of wacky and unconventional (polar opposites of Elly!..

Elly tried to tell Connie what her brother, Phil’s life was about but Connie insisted that she loved only one thing was SEX with Phil! Connie, get a life! find another man to win your heart, not sex!

Desperate? Seriously, don’t you find living vicariously through comic characters rather desperate in and of itself? (Read: you do know that these are NOT real living breathing people, right?) This is about the time and place where my all-knowing teen would suggest to me that I should “get a life.” Gosh – can’t you just enjoy the irony and the chuckle?

Easy to focus on the sunny side until you have to live with the dark side that comes along with him (or her).

What’s so bad about yoga?!? btw, it looks like it’s Elly’s cup being dropped. btw, my husband and I are VERY different and come from different backgrounds, but we are happily married. I was dating a guy at one time who was a lot like me, and we drove each other crazy. Sometimes the differences balance each other out! and lastly, true, it’s not real life, but it’s based on the cartoonist’s life and the characters are ones real people can identify with. That’s why we read it, no?
