Men are human. We just don’t view events or other things the same as women, who puzzle us equally.

you’ve got human contact, the kids are under foot all day long

Nothing wrong with coffee with the girls. Instant shot of sanity.

I know if I were stuck at home with two preschool kids all day I’d want an hour or so with my friends too.

BELIEVE ME I spent last summer taking care of a 5y/o, 3y/o and 15 month old while their mother was ill with a terminal disease. UUGGH what I would give for a few minutes away…..Women are social creatures and we need contact to help us through the demands of childhood babble and events. Now my poor daughter in law is better and I am not needed as much but she is going nuts —we need our ” girl time” it is not wasted time guys.

We love our men, but they see things differently and don’t talk to us.

John, Michael, and Liz aren’t human? Time to send Elly packing to the loony bin before she accuses Farley of being a spy for the government…..

It is a very rare person who spends all of their time with small children and doesn’t mind it. You need a break - someone who can talk to you at YOUR level.

If John thinks it’s a waste of time, maybe he should try to stay with the kids for, say, a week, with NO outside visits. He might learn something.

cozygirl… I appreciate your sympathetic heart, but, dear, Elly is a cartoon character. ;)

He should appreciate her time with the girls and coffee, thats means happy wife which equals happy husband and happy house!

I don’t think it’s a waste of time but “coffee klatch” is a really stupid name.
