When mothering backfires

You mean it’s not only my kids who do that???

As low as she feels right now, she may be able to walk out UNDER the door (without ducking).

I think he really wanted to ask her something else, but knew he was busted so he went for the heart. My kids have never asked me that question. They always know they’re loved.

ZAP! And, yes, her eyes do say it all!

My step daughter used to do that. She’d wait until I was at the end of my rope with her stall techniques, and just when I was ready to blast her, she’d say “I love yoooou.” The little wiener did it on purpose.

I did this to my mom once. Got the biggest hug of my life. I still ask this once in a while because I love the answer.

Mike’s innocent eyes are do adorable … and yes, kids do this at just the right moment, to get out of trouble!!

Aahhh. Just when you reach the end of the rope, they do something sweet.

If he has to ask, then she’s not making it clear with her actions that she does indeed love her little boy.

She ought to get on the bed & hold him until he goes to sleep.

My youngest is the queen of the pre-bed questions. She can go on for 15 minutes easy, you can see her thinking them up. She would TOTALLY try this. They are smart!

Makes me wonder how Michael and Elizabeth grew up as well as they did! (I can’t comment on April and how she turned out because she was still just a kid when the strip ended.)

Uh-oh, Elly better get ready for turning into a loving, patient mother.

Why do so many people seem to think she is such a bi—-? She is kind and caring to all her family and friends, even though she does get exasperated at times. Just like everyone else.
