I remember my high school band teacher. His name was Rick Marino and he was a character. He instilled some good habits and values in us that will never go away. When he retired, he was replaced by one of the band students from my brother’s graduating class. As Elsie said, they are Special! I think of him and his red socks every once in a while when I hear a piece of music that we played.
