Some children are challenging, some are not. Sounds like Richard belongs to the former… ;)

I hope she learns not to say those things in his earshot before he understands the words. She would just cement the traits.

I know a 9 year old kid like that (and I can’t believe he’s lived this long): he’s a felony record waiting to happen.

My toddler can be several handfuls and is often loud. One day at the store in the checkout lane (which is usually when he gets fussy cause we’ve stopped moving and he has nothing to do) he was super well behaved, not a peep out of him. There was a child a few lanes over who was just screaming and screaming and the old lady ahead of me told me my toddler was very well behaved. I couldn’t help myself, I laughed and told her thank you.

With my toddler, “ga-goo” meant “thank you.”

Not nice to talk negatively about your children. It will give them a complex as they grow older.
