    Touche, Michael, although neither me nor my sister ever would’ve verbalized that sentiment. Dad usually did the cooking and he was ex-Army, ex-Marine and all-Irish…you get the idea. Better to eat in silence. Besides, he wasn’t a bad cook.

    Yep, that’s how it works for pets and people. I know cause that was my parents Philosophy. You ate what was served, or waited for the next meal. Also, if you missed the meal because of your own volition, then there was always the next meal.

    My father was a Squid AND a Jarhead. He went into the Navy toward the end of WW2, and after he was mustered out, enlisted in the Marines for the Korean Conflict.
