Auto start, then honk the horn just a little one. Sooooo glad I moved south. Sorry to my northern friends, but 4 ft of snow and 50 below for weeks (up by the Canadian border) was unbearable.

Lynn was living in Northern Ontario at the time (or was it Northern Manitoba)… either way, the weather was very similar for both locations. ;P

Are those parking meters or engine heaters. If they are parking meters, she has to pay for parking to work there?

    Lynn’s Comments:

We’re living in Vancouver now, so I sure don’t miss the snow! The rain, however, is worth grousing about!

Looking for your car in a crowded parking lot is a problem faced by shoppers everywhere.

Sad thing is that, now a day, I lose my car in the parking lot in July. I need a map at the Walmart, or maybe a parking garage GPS.

Regular thing here during winter, when we get snow.. we typically get nothing or fifteen+ feet total for the season.

For a couple of years I managed Nissan’s office building in Irving. Over two thousand employees in it. On of the perks working for them is they would lease their employees cars at a rate you would have been stupid to not do. So you would walk out into the parking lot and there would be rows of identical cars. I often would see an employee walking with their key fob out trying to find their car. Especially if they came late and parked away from their normal spot.

The drawing of the library front here, looks just like our town’s 110 year old library building.

One of the many perks of retirement, NOT needing to go out into the cold and dark OR the brain frying heat. No snow covered, or sun baked cars.

there is not enough money in this world to make me move somewhere that has snow. I lived in Lubbock TX during my teenage years and it snowed a LOT the first winter I was there. Was running late to the bus stop and literally ran into a snow drift. You can’t see those things :( It sucked and I hated snow ever since.

In cold climates you can always put on more clothing; however, in hot climates, you can only take it all off and you are still hot!!! IOWA is the best!
