Can’t remember the references, but doesn’t Jesus talk about separating the righteous & unrighteous represented by sheep & goats (respectively), the goats on the left the sheep on the right?
The cartoon and several of the comments are examples of taking out of context and using scripture for one’s own purposes. But I agree with the cartoon. Meeting in the middle will serve all better than either extreme does. Plus this is meant to be humorous.
I prefer Joshua 24:15“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

George Washington didn’t like political parties, either.

I prefer Ecclesiastes 10:2. It sums up our political system and choices perfectly.

Psa 146:3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

Evangelicals need to understand that neither political party wants anything to do with us.

You’ll be amazed at how little politics have changed since the beginning of civilization.

Biblical law only supports absolutist authority, i.e., monarchy. Democracy is un-biblical.
