Actually, given her mom’s self-congratulatory pats on the back in panel 2, I would’ve done the same thing as Andy. Tofu or no tofu, no one likes a braggart.

Besides, it keeps Jason out of her hair as well. Two birds, one stone.

Wow, and here I thought tofu was supposed to be good stuff!

Nope, tofu isn’t supposed to be a mainstay; it’s a “sometimes food”. Really, it was originally intended to keep people alive during a famine. The good effects only counteract the bad ones enough that all it does is keep you from starving.

Well I think she did have “normal” ingredients on her shopping list the other day, so hopefully it’s a regular dinner and not cabbage and tofu bricks.

Most people with overbearing parents tend to either try to outdo them or just completely give up. Andy took a third option and decided to become the worst cook in the world.

The mother is just telling the truth - that’s clear from the way Roger & the kids love her & her cooking. It’s only Andi who doesn’t like her. Andi ought to try to learn from her mother instead of still acting like a 12 year old & shutting her out.
