From what Roger since in the first panel, who is “they” of which he spoke? (So much for buying just eggs as Andy requested in the previous day’s strip.)
I fit that ‘male’ type. I once in a while go to the mall or big box store to stroll or get out for a while, but usually I’m on a mission to get what I want/need and get out.My brother seems the opposite—seems to buy much more than he planned to get. He even posted a rare occurrence on FB that he actually went to a store and got only what he went for. He impressed himself.
I’m just one guy, but the only place I like to shop is at a bookstore (remember those, kids?). Give me two hours at Powell’s in Portland and I are a happy boy.
For men, shopping is something to get done, for women, shopping is something to do. Women shop, men raid.
Having said that, I actually enjoy shopping with my wife. She’s fun to watch :). We play games. She’ll send me to get something in the grocery store and then move on. Then it becomes a game of hide and seek.
The average housefly maintains a straight line for a longer period of time than my wife does in a grocery store.
I find this same problem when I shop. That is why I never shop when I am hungry.p.s. @ neverenoughgold; if John Smith meant Butter “Ripple”, then yes. I am able to find both mickey and 750 ml bottles here in Alberta and BC. Yummy ! Friends and I love it around the campfire on any night.

Andy should’ve see this coming. Never send the two biggest eaters to a grocery store, especially given what she feeds them.

Hey, with what Andi usually serves for dinner, who wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to force her hand on meals?
