Having run high-speed letter processing machines at a USPS mail sorting center, I can tell you, neither the “action figure” nor the letter would have survived.
Typically, producers can’t use fan submitted ideas, and writers are not allowed to look at fan created content. That way, they can just say that anything they make that’s similar to something that someone else wrote or drew first was just a coincidence. If they did use fan ideas, they could end up in a legal cluster**** that’s better off avoided.
Took me a moment to get that. After all, starting the reject letter with “UNfortunately” is exactly what those hypocritical Hollywood types would say. You know, like all of those actors who SWORE they would leave the country if Trump got elected. Where are they now? Hollywood of course.
